- Who is Psoriasis in Practice aimed at?

Psoriasis in Practice is an online programme for healthcare professionals in primary care who would like to improve their knowledge of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

- How long is the course?

You will have access to the content of Psoriasis in Practice for six weeks.

- How many study hours are associated with Psoriasis in Practice?

Psoriasis in Practice contributes 10 study hours for continuing professional development (CPD). It can be used towards the 35 CPD hours required by NMC Revalidation.

- Do I need to attend any taught sessions?

Psoriasis in Practice content is accessed online and involves self-directed learning. There is no taught element, and no requirement to attend.

- How flexible is the structure of the course?

You have six weeks to study Psoriasis in Practice. The course is made up of five sections, which you can follow at your own pace, with a final assessment in the form of a quiz.

- What is the cost of the course?

The Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance (PAPAA) part-fund each place on the course. The fee for you as a student is, therefore, £50.

- How do I get started?

The course materials are web-based and available with password access. To follow the course, you will need the use of a computer with access to the Internet. Students enrol on a weekly basis and, once enrolled, will have access to Psoriasis in Practice, using their unique username and password.

The programme involves self-directed learning at your own pace. Evidence–based educational resources and self-assessments are designed to help you reflect on your own practice.

- What educational support is available?

During the course, if you have any educational or clinical questions, you can email us and the appropriate person will contact you as soon as practicable. In order to enhance your learning, you are advised to identify a clinical mentor to help you establish your learning needs.

Our e-Learning Coordinator will help you should you have any technical issues associated with online learning.

- How is the course accredited?

Psoriasis in Practice has been accredited by the RCN Centre for Professional Accreditation until December 12th 2017. Accreditation applies only to the educational content of the programme and does not apply to any product.

You will receive an RCN accredited Certificate on successful completion of the final assessment, which consists of multiple choice questions.

- How do I pay?

On application, our Course Administrator at PAPAA will issue your invoice for Psoriasis in Practice.

On receipt of payment, our Course Administrator will send you details of the course and how to access the content.
